Learning Pods
Learning Pods are comprised of a team of teachers and multi-age students who work and learn together over multiple school years
• Pods consist of a heterogeneous mix of students: academically, socially, emotionally, and in
age range.
• Students will work with a team of teachers, looping when possible.
• Pods collaboratively group learners on the basis of a specific skill, task, or interest.
• Teachers function in different roles, often flexing during the day.
• Groups are not addressed as “fourth graders” or “fifth graders," but as a team name.
